Bhubaneswar: To expedite post-Fani clearance work, the Odisha government has deployed 544 teams in six coastal districts.
A release from the office of the Special Relief Commissioner (SRC) on Sunday said 237 teams including 7 units of ODRAF and 20 units of the NDRF personnel, 90 fire teams and 120 teams of the Odisha Forest Development Corporation (OFDC) have been deployed in Bhubaneswar; while 177 teams including 9 units of ODRAF and 20 units of the NDRF personnel, 58 Fire teams and 90 teams of the Odisha Forest Development Corporation (OFDC) have been deployed in Puri district.
In Cuttack district, out of 84 teams, three units of ODRAF, four units of NDRF and 77 Fire teams are deployed while one unit of ODRAF, three units of NDRF and 32 fire teams have been pressed into service.
Compared to the number of teams deployed in the four aforesaid districts, only two units of NDRF and five fire teams have been deployed in Jagatsinghpur and one NDRF unit and two fire teams in Balasore district.
