Bhanjanagar: Six persons were arrested during a raid on an illegal gambling den at Bhanjanagar in Ganjam district on Sunday.
Following a tip-off, a police team raided a gambling den at LIC colony of Bhanjanagar and managed to nab six persons from the spot. Six motorcycles, five cellphones and Rs 1,65,500in cash were seized from their possession. The six are being interrogated and further investigation is underway, a senior police officer informed.
In another case, a woman was arrested with 40 grams of brown sugar from Narendrakona in Puri district.
