6-Hour Deogarh Town Bandh Hits Vehicular Traffic

Deogarh: Normal life was hit due to a six-hour Deogarh town Bandh call given by the District Congress on Friday.

Protesting the anti-poor and anti-tribal policy of the state government, the Congress has demanded homestead land to the landless and forest land patta to the tribals.

The bandh which began at 6 am will end at 12 pm.

While government offices and educational institutions remained closed, vehicular traffic came to a grinding halt.

The Congress workers and leaders picketed at Old Post Office Square and later staged a road blockade on Mumbai-Kolkata National Highway disrupting vehicular movement.
