Jajpur: At least six people were injured, one of them critically, after a crude bomb was hurled at them at Ratnag under Bari Ramachandrapur area of Odisha’s Jajpur district on Sunday.
According to sources, a clash broke out between two groups over some dispute. Members of one group hurled a crude bomb and fled the scene.
At least six persons sustained injuries as the bomb exploded. Locals rushed them to the Community Health Centre (CHC) at Bari for treatment. One of them, who sustained critical injuries, was shifted to Jajpur District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) as his condition deteriorated.
On being informed, a team of police personnel reached the spot and launched an investigation into the incident. Police personnel in strength were deployed in the area to prevent any further flare up.
