Angul: Six members of an inter-state dacoity gang were arrested from Chendipada area in Angul district on Sunday evening.
According to a police officer, raids were conducted in Rengali and nearby areas on a tip off. The dacoits were nabbed while they were trying to flee after robbing a house. Besides Rs 61,400 in cash, police recovered six cell phones and a vehicle from them, the officer added.
On June 30, six dacoits were arrested from Salepur in Cuttack district. Two live bombs, two guns, eight mobile phones and several other arms were seized from them.
