Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has approved the proposal for development of six-lane along with two-lane service road on both sides of Bhubaneswar-Puri National Highway-316 and Barbil-Chandikhole Road.
Official sources said that the Works department has informed the National Highways Authority of India (NHIA) regarding the approval accorded to the projects for further steps.
A communication in this regard has been sent by Engineer-in-Chief and Special Secretary in the Works department,Lakshmi Kant Padhi to the Regional Officer of NHAI, Odisha.
The NHAI has been requested to prepare the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for the projects and make a detailed presentation before the Chief Secretary for finalisation of the alignment and controlled access locations.
