6-Month-Old & 2-Year-Old Kids Booked For Lockdown Breach In Uttarakhand

Dehradun: In a shocking incident, a 6-month-old toddler and a 2-year-old kid were among 51 people booked for violating home quarantine rules during the lockdown in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand.

Taking exception to the incident, the District Magistrate (DM) of Uttarkashi said, “FIR cannot be registered against those under 8 years of age under the Juvenile Justice Act. A probe will be conducted in the case,”

The DM further said disciplinary action will be taken against COVID-19 magistrate of the district for registration of cases against the kids, the Hindustan Times reported.
