Jharsuguda: At first glance, Anshuman Sahu looks like any other six-year-old boy. But there is more to him than meets the eye.
This Class II student of DAV School in Jharsuguda has become a sensation for his ability to perfectly recite Sanskrit mantras and verses from ancient texts.
Those who know Anshuman claim that the minor is better at reciting the Shiva Tandava Srotam, Jagannath Ashtakam, Hanuman Chalisa and Gayatri Mantra than many adults.
Anshuman’s father Ajit Kumar Sahu works at Bhushan Steel Plant and his mother is a homemaker.
According to his parents, the boy developed an interest in reciting mantras at a very early age.
The boy’s teachers said he is a bright student and the school can provide the right platform for him to master the Sanskrit language.
As for Anshuman himself, he aspires to become an IAS officer once he grows up.
