Bhubaneswar: Around 60 per cent of industries are now running by adopting the COVID-19 preventive measures in Odisha which is gearing up for revival of pandemic affected economy, said Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy.
Chairing an interactive session with members of UN-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) over video conference, Tripathy said the Government has initiated several steps for establishment of employment intensive investments in the State. He assured the investors that the infection level was under control and the community quite aware and safe.
Principal Secretary, Industry Hemant Sharma presented the unique competitiveness of Odisha over other regions of the country for investment in metal, non-metal, downstream, electronics and IT sectors.
Sharma said Odisha has a single window clearance system for investment proposals which is supported by a well developed institutional arrangement. Besides, Odisha is among top
five states in ‘ease of doing business’, he added.
Manoj Mishra, Secretary, Electronics and Information Technology also spoke during the video conference.
