Bhubaneswar: The 61st Senior Police Officers’ Conference of Odisha Police will be held at Police Bhawan here from January 17 to 19.
The conference will be inaugurated by DGP Dr RP Sharmatomorrow at 10 am. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik will grace the valedictory session January 19.
Superintendents of Police of all districts, DCPs, Commandants of all Armed Police Battalions, Range IGPs, DIsGP, Under Training IPS Officers, senior officers of various police establishments as well as the Home Guards, Fire Services and Civil Defence Organisation, State Vigilance, Odisha State Police Housing and Welfare Corporation, Prison Organisation and OHRC will participate in the conference.
There will be deliberations on various professional policing subjects like Law and Order, Crime Scenario of the State, Left Wing Extremism, Police arrangement for mega events, improving road safety and moving towards paperless police station. Issues related to State Vigilance, Home Guards and Fire Services and Odisha Police Housing and Welfare Corporation will also be discussed.
Besides this, for the first time some Guest Speakers who have authority in their respective fields have also been invited to share their experiences thoughts and ideas on the topics chosen – “Role of a leader in Transforming Organisation”, “Investigation of Cyber Crime”, “Monitoring of Social Media” and “Enhanced use of Forensics”.
