Bhubaneswar: The voter turnout in the fourth and final phase of dual elections in Odisha stood at 63.42%, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI).
The Commission, in its latest update on voter turnout, said 63.42% of voters had cast their votes in the last phase of elections to Lok Sabha and Assembly in Odisha as per the inputs till 8 pm. But the number is likely to increase as the complete data of all the polling stations were yet to be received, it added.
While Jajpur recorded the highest voter turnout of 66.90%, Bhadrak witnessed the lowest voter turnout of 58.21%.
The elections were held in six Lok Sabha constituencies of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak, Jajpur, Kendrapada and Jagatsinghpur and 42 Assembly segments under those seats.
While 66 Lok Sabha and 394 Assembly candidates are in the fray, over 99.61 lakh voters are eligible to exercise their franchise in the final phase of elections in the state.
