Cuttack: The city registered a drop in new COVID-19 cases compared to previous day as 63 persons tested positive for the disease in the last 24 hours against 74 of Thursday.
Of the new patients, maximum 35 were local contacts while 11 were detected in institutional quarantine centres and 17 in home quarantines.
The city had reported 67 positive cases on Wednesday, 54 on Tuesday, 64 on Monday, 71 on Sunday and 85 on Saturday last.
With the day’s addition, the total number of COVID-19 patients has gone up to 14,487 in the city. While 13,556 patients have recovered, 66 have succumbed to the disease with 866 active patients at present.
