65 From Containment Zones Among New COVID-19 Cases In Odisha’s Kandhamal

Phulbani: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha’s Kandhamal district touched 1965 with an overnight addition of 95 positive cases.

According to the district administration, the highest of 65 have been reported from containment zones while 22 are local cases and three detected from temporary medical centres.

Two more are from quarantine centre and the remaining two COVID warriors.

The highest of 17 cases each has been reported from Daringbadi and Phulbani, 15 from Baliguda, 11 from Chakapad, eight each from Kotagarh, Tumudibadh and Raikia, six from Tikabali and four from Udayagiri.

Another patient is from an undisclosed location in the district.

Three have been shifted to SUM Hospital and AIIMS in Bhubaneswar, the administration added.

With seven deaths and 1471 recoveries, Kandhamal now has 541 active cases.
