Bhubaneswar: Himachal Pradesh BJP chief Satpal Satti has reportedly hit a new low by reproducing an expletive allegedly used against Congress chief Rahul Gandhi by someone in a Facebook post, reports The Hush Post.
The Facebook user used the word after Rahul Gandhi said “Chowkidar chor hai,” something he has been saying in his speeches against Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
While addressing a gathering in Nalagarh, Satti said that if Rahul can call Prime Minister Modi — who refers to himself as India’s Chowkidar (watchman) — a thief, he is also free to abuse him. “Rahul Gandhi is out on bail, his mother is out on bail, his brother-in-law is out on bail, and yet he calls the Prime Minister a thief,” Satti said. “A Punjabi man asked me to convey this to you with a heavy heart, and that inspires me to tell you this. If PM Modi is a thief, then you are a m********,” he was heard saying in a video widely circulated on social media.
It almost looked like Satti enorsed use of the expletive.
Many BJP leaders have said Satti should have been more careful, but there has been no apology yet.
