Jharsuguda: At least 68 inmates of a sub-jail tested positive for COVID-19 in Jharsuguda district on Saturday.
The jailor told the media that the swab samples of 268 inmates were collected for testing in four phases. Of these, 68 tested positive during the first phase of the test reports received on Saturday.
The jailor stated that the infected inmates were kept in isolation in two wards and a team of doctors is constantly monitoring their health. The entire jail premises were sanitized in effort to break the chain of transmission, he added.
