Jaipur: The district jail of Barmer in Rajasthan is turning out to be a COVID-19 hostspot with 68 per cent of the inmates testing positive for the virus.
On Wednesday, results of as many as 126 of those tested came out positive to add to the four positive cases on Sunday. There are 192 inmates in the jail currently. The screening of inmates started on Monday.
Considering the large number of cases, a new COVID Care Centre has been started in the jail.
