Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to extend the 48-hour shutdown to Cuttack after a person from the Millennium City tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Friday, Chief Secretary Asit Tripathi has tweeted.
“The time will be used for aggressive contract tracing,” he added.
The shutdown begin enforced in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Bhadrak town, which have reported COVID-19 cases, will begin from 8 pm on Friday. It is being done to check possible community transmission of the disease, the chief secretary had earlier said.
