7 Families Rendered Homeless In Village Fire In Gunupur

Gunupur: Seven families were rendered homeless in a devastating fire at Chintalguda village in Gunjupur block in Odisha’s Rayagada district late on Wednesday night.

The fire was later doused by a Fire Brigade team which rushed to the village from Gunupur following information.

A total of 21 rooms have been completely gutted.

The incident took place at about 12.30 am.

The cause of the fire was not immediately known.

Meanwhile, Revenue officer, local BDO and Tehsildar arrived at the village on Thursday morning to assess the damage of properties.
