7 From Bengal Killed In Road Mishap In Odisha’s Jajpur

Jajpur: At least seven people from West Bengal were killed after a mini-truck dashed against a stationary truck at Neulpur in Odisha’s Jajpur district on Saturday.

Accordign to sources, the mini-truck carrying chicken from Kolkata to Bhubaneswar crashed into the static truck parked along the highway at Neulpur on the National Highway No. 16 in the early hours.

While six occupants of the mini-truck died on the spot, another person was rushed to the SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack where doctors pronounced him dead.

The deceased persons reportedly hailed from 24 Parganas area of West Bengal.

On getting information, the fire services personnel and police rushed to the spot and recovered the bodies. The bodies were sent to the hospital for postmortem. Further details are awaited.
