Balangir: At least seven people were injured, some of them seriously, when the bus in which they were travelling overturned in Bangomunda area of Odisha’s Balangir district on Saturday.
According to sources, the mishap took place at Jairpada under the jurisdiction of Bangomunda police station in the district when the private passenger bus was on its way from Khariar to Kantabanji.
All the seven injured persons were rescued by locals and admitted to the hospital for treatment.
While the exact reason of the accident was yet to be ascertained, the bus was suspected to have lost balance and overturned after one of its tyres got punctured.
On being informed, police personnel reached the spot and started an investigation.
