Rourkela: Seven persons sustained burn injuries following sudden outbreak of fire at a hotel in Panposh Chhak on the outskirts of Rourkela in Sundargarh district on Sunday morning.
The hotel owner was among the injured.
According to sources, the staff and owner of Hotel Pancham was preparing breakfast in front of the hotel around 8.30am when a fire broke out due to gas leak from a cylinder. The flames later spread to the hotel, damaging the ground floor ceiling.
The fire brigade rushed to the spot and doused the flame. The injured were admitted to Rourkela Government Hospital where doctors said the patients had sustained minor burns and their condition was stable.
