Koraput: Seven persons were reportedly killed and nine others critically injured after a van carrying them overturned in the district on Sunday night.
According to sources, around 30 people were coming in the van from an unconfirmed place in Chhattisgarh when the vehicle turned turtle near Murtahandi under Kotpad police limits.
On being informed, the police have rushed to the spot and launched rescue operation.
While the details of the mishap are awaited, its exact cause has not been ascertained.
