Bhubaneswar: A seven-member team including experts from national and international organisations has left for Ganjam to assist the district administration in containment of the cronavirus.
The team led by Director Health Services comprises representatives of ICMR RMRC and World Health Organisation (WHO) will assist the district administration in containment, surveillance and medical response of the coronapositive patients in the district.
Already 84 coronpositive cases have been reported from Ganjam. The district witness a sudden spurt in the cases reportedly after arrival of migrant labourers from Surat in Gujarat.
With Nayagarh district reporting first positive case today, the State’s total cases stand at 289.
