Morris Garages’ Hector will soon get a seven-seater version. Spy photos of a test mule under wraps was spotted in Gujarat.
The sever-seater version isn’t very different from the existing 5-seat model. Even the dimensions remain same. The Hector is a long SUV, longer than the Tata Harrier too. It measures 4655 mm in length, 1835 mm in width and 1760 mm in height.
Like the 5-seat model, the Hector has its unique 10.4-inch vertically mounted screen along with connected car features, and all-black interiors.
The same 2.0-litre diesel engine from Fiat and 1.5-litre mild hybrid petrol engine are likely to be carried over. A DCT gearbox is expected to come with the petrol engine.
The seven-seater Hector is expected to be launched at 2020 Auto Expo.
Tata is also working on launching a seven-seat version of the Harrier. It could be named as Gravitas.
