70 Houses Gutted As Fire Breaks Out In Angul

Angul: At least 70 houses were gutted after a major fire broke out at Karatpata village in Angul district on Sunday evening. However, no injury or

casualty was reported.

The incident took place at around 5:30 pm.

After being alerted about the mishap, two fire tenders rushed to the spot and took more around two hours to douse the fire.

“The fire originated from one of the houses where a feast was underway in the village and quickly spread to rest. The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained”, a fire official said.
