Buguda: As many as 70 migrant workers from Ganjam district arrived at Bhubaneswar airport by a special flight on Wednesday night.
After getting information about the labourers stranded in Assam, Polasara MLA Srikant Sahu had drawn the attention of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik and sought his intervention for their safe return to the district.
On the direction of the Chief Minister, a special flight was arranged to fly in the Odia workers from Assam. The special flight carrying all the 70 labourers landed at Bhubaneswar airport on Wednesday night. The MLA was present at the airport to receive the migrants.
After their arrival, the returnees were sent in buses to quarantine centres in buses.
