Bhubaneswar: Odisha ace Anshu Kumar Bhuyan added yet another jewel to his crown by emerging singles champion in the AITA All-India Men’s 50K Tennis Tournament at Oudh Gymkhana Club, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, on Friday.
Anshu justified his position as top seed by defeating second seed Jaydeep Chudasama of Gujarat in the hard-fought final 6-1, 5-7, 6-4. On his way to the final, Bhubaneswar lad Anshu prevailed over as many as four opponents.
This was the second AITA men’s singles title and third overall of the year for Anshu, who had claimed the earlier singles crown at Patna on April 1.
