Bhubaneswar: Odisha on Saturday reported 18 new COVID cases and among them, 13 are in the age group of 0-18 years.
According to the I & PR department, 5 of the new cases are from quarantine and 13 local contacts. Nuapada recorded the highest of 13 positives followed by Cuttack with two and one each from Khurda, Rayagada, and Sundargarh.
With these cases being detected from 15,049 samples, the test positivity rate (TPR) stood at 0.11 per cent.
Odisha now has 131 active cases with 8 patients having recovered in the last 24 hours.
The daily caseload had jumped to 19 on Friday with 6 infected being adolescents from 14 on Thursday.
Notably, two COVID clusters were detected in Rayagada, where 64 children had tested positive for the virus earlier this month.
