Bhubaneswar: The average polling in nine booths of Odisha, where re-polling was held on Thursday, is 73.88%, said the office of the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) in a release here.
Of the nine booths, 70.50% polling was recorded in booth no-213 in Sundargarh and 129 in Bonai constituency in Sundargarh Lok Sabha constituency, 68.15% in booth no-210 and 222 in Daspalla Assembly constituency in Kandhamal Lok Sabha constituency, 73.80% in booth no-16 in Padampur, 68 in Bargarh, 235 in Attabira and 254 in Brajarajnagar constituency in Bargarh Lok Sabha constituency, and 79.03% in booth no-182 in Sorada Assembly constituency in Aska Lok Sabha constituency.
Polling in these nine booths was stopped midway in the second-phase polls due to a glitch in the EVMs and their improper handling.
Following the recommendation of the CEO, the Election Commission of India had ordered re-polling in these booths.
