73 Litres Of Illicit Liquor Seized In Nabarangpur and Cuttack, 7 Arrested

Nabarangpur/Cuttack: Excise sleuths and police seized around 73 litres of illicit liquor in two separate incidents.

In the first case, excise sleuths seized 51 litres of illicit liquor from different places in Nabarangpur district and arrested six persons on Tuesday.

The accused persons have been identified as Purnachandra Bisoi, Tamu Unda, Nitya Bisoi, Sunadhar Bisoi, Premsingh Kahdia, and Dhamisingh Khedia.

Acting on tip-off, the police conducted raids at various places and seized the liquor. The six arrested persons were forwarded to court the same day.

In the second incident, Madhupatana police seized around 22 bottles of illegal liquor during a raid and arrested one person in this connection from Khannagar area in Cuttack.

The arrested person has been identified as Raghunath Panda (45). The police have registered a case against Panda and forwarded him to court.
