Bhubaneswar: The State Haj Committee has selected 731 pilgrims for the annual Haj pilgrimage to Mecca in Saudi Arabia this year.
Of the 731 pilgrims, 433 are men and 298 women.
The state government has decided to send four senior government officials with the pilgrims to ensure their safety and proper accommodation.
As scheduled, the pilgrims would leave for Saudi Arabia between July 12 and 29 and return to the state between September 2 and 12after staying there for 45 days.
