Bhubaneswar: A series of programmes have been planned by the Odisha government to celebrate the 75th Foundation Day of Bhubaneswar on Thursday. However, senior BJP leader and Bhubaneswar MP Aparajita Sarangi has not been invited to these events for the second year in a row.
The state government on Wednesday released the names of invitees, in which the Bhubaneswar MP’s name was found missing. Aparajita was not invited to the functions which marked the Capital Foundation Day celebrations last year too.
Voicing displeasure after finding her name missing from the list of invitees for the second consecutive year, Aparajita said in a twitter post that it is a ‘REPEAT PERFORMANCE” of last year.
Terming the act as humiliation of the prople of Bhubaneswar once again, she sought to know if it was ‘INTENTIONAL’.
Aparajita recalled that she had written a letter to Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik last time on the same issue after she was not invited by the state government to attend the function.
