Bhubaneswar: A total of 76.98% students have cleared the annual Plus II Science Examination, the result of which was announced on Saturday.
Announcing the result at the headquarters office of the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), School and Mass Education minister Badri Narayan Patra said the pass percentage of Plus II Science this year is lower (4.13) than the last year, which was 81.11.
Of the 95,096 students, who appeared for the examination, 73,211 have passed. Among them, 19,561 students secured first division, 24,164 second division and 29,968 third division.
Out of the total number of students who have cleared the examination, 41 students have secured 90 percent and above marks of which 28 are boys and 13 girls, the minister added.
He further informed that the boys have outnumbered the girls in the examination this year. As against 42,886 boys, 30,325 girls have passed the examination.
With regards to district-wise pass results, Nayagarh has topped the chart with 92.23% with Gajapati at the bottom with a pass percentage of 43.43.

Present on the occasion, Deputy Controller of Examinations, CHSE, Dr Prabodh Panda said the results of the Arts, Commerce and Vocational Education would be announced by the first week of June.
