7th report on black money in Sept: Arijit Pasayat

Bhubaneswar: The vice chairman of the Supreme Court-appointed Special Investigating Team (SIT) Justice Arijit Pasayat on Monday expressed satisfaction over the ongoing probe by different agencies into the alleged economic and financial irregularities by companies in Odisha.
Chairing a crucial meeting of SIT on black money, Pasayat asked the officials of CBI, Enforcement Directorate (ED) of Crime Branch, Income Tax and Mines to work in a coordinated manner and expedite investigation into the money laundering by several mining companies as well as the Ponzi firms. He informed that the SIT will submit its seventh report on black money by September this year.
During the meeting, the ED furnished its report on attached properties of controversial godmen Sarathi and Sura Baba.
According to the reports, the ED officials had seized Rs 14 crore-worth properties of Sarathi and assets to the tune of Rs 12 crore of Sura Baba.
