Jaipur: Ten 10 passengers were injured after the Suryanagari Express derailed in Rajasthan in the wee hours of Monday.
Eight coaches of the Jodhpur-bound train, which originated from Mumbai’s Bandra terminus, went off track between near Pali, in the Rajkiawas-Bomadra section of Jodhpur division at around 3.30 am.
Some bogies overturned, as per visuals shared on Twitter by ANI. No fatalities have been reported.
Movement of several trains was affected due to the accident.
Senior officials of North Western Railway (NWR) are monitoring the situation from the control room at Jaipur headquarters, and a team will reach the accident spot soon, the CPRO said.

A passenger who was on the train told ANI a vibration-like sound was heard soon after departure from Marwar junction.
“Within 5 minutes of departure from Marwar junction, a vibration sound was heard inside the train and the train stopped after 2-3 minutes. We got down and saw that at least 8 sleeper class coaches off the tracks. Within 15-20 minutes, ambulances arrived,” he said.
