Khurda: Eight persons were critically injured after a truck hit a passenger bus at Balugon in Odisha’s Khurda district on Saturday afternoon.
According to sources, a speeding fish-laden truck hit the bus rammed the bus carrying 40 passengers, which was en route from Berhampur to Bhubaneswar around 1 pm on NH-16 near Subudhipatna.
After being informed, police reached the spot and rescued the passengers with the help of locals. The injured have been admitted to a nearly government health facility.
