Balangir: Police have arrested 8 miscreants, who were involved in several cases of robbery and loot, and seized several stolen items from their possession in Titlagarh town of the district.
Speaking to media persons on Wednesday, Titlagarh SDPO Surendra Nath Satpathy said following reports of several robber cases from different parts of the town, police teams were formed to nab the accused. One of the cases was mobile phone snatching from the people on the streets, he added.
The police teams conducted raids at susceptible places and arrested 8 miscreants including four minor boys. During the raids, the police seized 16 mobile phones, 4 bikes and a pick-up van from the possession of the miscreants. Four arrested persons have been forwarded to court and four minors to juvenile court, the SDPO said.
