Bhubaneswar: The COVID-19 toll touched 8,070 on Wednesday as Odisha confirmed eight more deaths due to the deadly disease in the last 24 hours.
Among the deceased are two each from Bhubaneswar and Dhenkanal district.
Here are the details of cases confirmed as death due to COVID after due completion of the audit process:
1.A 48 years old Male of Angul District who was also suffering from Hypertension.
2.A 60 years old Male of Balasore District who was also suffering from Chronic Kidney Disease.
3.A 60 years old Female of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Chronic Kidney Disease.<
4.A 82 years old Male of Bhubaneswar who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease, Bronchial Asthma Ruptured Aortic Aneurysm with Left Hemothorax Abg.
5.A 75 years old Male of Dhenkanal District who was also suffering from Hypertension.
6.A 90 years old Male of Dhenkanal District who was also suffering from Hypertension. 7.A 50 years old Male of Keonjhar District who was also suffering from Nil.
8.A 60 years old Female of Koraput District who was also suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, Hypertension.

Odisha has so far reported 6,186 COVID deaths in the second wave as against 1,876 the previous year.
Around 6,000 fatalities were added in the last four months. August saw around 66 deaths a day, on an average, while it was 61 in July and 42 in June.
Similarly, 2,056 fatalities were registered last month, while July saw 1,903 deaths, June (1,272) and May (737), Health Department sources said.
Notably, the second wave of the pandemic has claimed the lives of 39 children and adolescents in Odisha. As many as 13 of these deaths were reported between August 10 and 31.
