Balasore: As many as eight new COVID-19 cases were reported from Balasore on Tuesday, taking the district’s tally to 554.
All the eight positive cases are the local contacts and none of them has travel history.
Meanwhile, shut down has been imposed in Jaleswar Municipality from 5 pm on Monday till Friday (July 17) 5 am after a person tested positive for coronavirus.
Contract tracing is underway.
At present, the Balasore district has 157 active coronavirus cases and 395 have recovered.
