Sundargarh: Kuanramunda police on Sunday nabbed eight members of Peoples’ Liberation Front of India (PLFI) from Kukudabahal forest in Sundargarh district.
Odisha-Jharkhand zonal committee chief Arjun Rana and Barbil area commander Arun Sae alias Surya were among those arrested. Five guns, two Mausers and 50 bullets were seized from them.
According to police sources, a number of dacoity and extortion cases are pending against these arrested PLFI members at several police stations in the district.
On September 24, three suspected PLFI members were killed while two others sustained injuries during an exchange of fire with security forces at Kalatapu forest along Odisha-Jharkhand border.
