Gurugram: An eight-year-old boy, identified as Akash Kumar, died after being hit by a mini pitch roller at a cricket academy in Gurugram. The incident took place while he was playing with other children.
The child, according to a NDTV report, is a resident of Nalanda in Bihar. Akash was playing with his brother Neel and some other kids at the academy. The mini pitch roller that was parked there started moving all of a sudden and struck the child.
According to reports, police said a child’s hand had triggered the machine’s circuit breaker. Just at that time, Akash fell in front of the roller. The other children fled in fear.
Akash was rushed to a nearby private hospital by his family members but was declared dead after doctors checked him.
