Bhubaneswar: The 81st Patha Utsav, the largest street festival of Bhubaneswar beginning March 3, will have a theme dedicated to the courage, valour and services of the IAF. It will be based on national integration and fight against terrorism.
Secretary Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) and nodal officer of Patha Utsav, Bhabani Shankar Chayani said, “The act of sacrifice and patriotism shown by IAF personnel has moved every Indian. In time of national emergency, the IAF has played a role of great patriot and saviour.’’
Itishree Dixit and her group will make an exclusive Rangoli on how the IAF safeguarded the nation. Sujit Mohapatra from Bakul Foundation said, “There will be storytelling by Prachitara, on the exploits of the IAF. We will try to invite retired IAF personnel to narrate their heroic tales. There will also be specially curated sections on IAF planes/fighters and air warfare.’’
Debi Prasad from DPR Art Life will pay tribute to the IAF and Indian Army through innovative art themes. “We are planning to make a model of Mirage-2000 fighter jet, which proved its power at Balakot,’’ said Debi Prasad.
Odia daily Nitidina, a regular participant in the weekly street festival of the Temple City on Janpath, will come up with a quiz on IAF, Indian Army and patriotism.
The 81st Patha Utsav will also try to educate civilians on their responsibilities towards the nation.
