Dhenkanal: In a shocking incident, a woman was caught on camera thrashing her 82-year-old mother-in-law after dragging her out of the house at Gelehikateni village under Parjang police station in Dhenkanal.
The matter came to light when the video went viral on social media on Friday.
The woman has been identified as Sabita Nayak (45).
She was seen dragging her mother-in-law, Parei Nayak on the road and beating her mercilessly.
On being informed, the police reached the spot but the accused woman managed to flee from the spot.
The police went to the village again and brought the woman to the police station for interrogation.
Meanwhile, the mother-in-law was sent to a local hospital.
