Bhubaneswar: Nine personnel from Odisha will be conferred with the President’s Fire Service, Home Guards & Civil Defence Medal during the Republic Day this year.
While Kumarabar Samal (Fireman) will receive Fire Service Medal for Distinguished Service, Bijaya Kumar Muduli (Fitter Station Officer), Jyoti Prakash Rath (Station Officer), Arjun Behera (Leading Fireman) and Soumendra Nath Kanungo (Fireman) will receive Fire Service Medal for Meritorious Service.
Besides, Amulya Kumar Samartha (Civil Defence Volunteer) will receive Civil Defence Medal for Distinguished Service while Bimal Prasad Pani (Civil Defence Volunteer), Prakash Kumar Jena (Civil Defence Volunteer) and Abhinna Mohan Samantray (Home Guard) will receive Home Guards and Civil Defence Medal for Meritorious Service.
