Bhubaneswar: Odisha vigilance on Monday conducted simultaneous searches at the properties of Laxmidhar Jena, Project Director, Watershed Development, Nabarangpur (Class 1), after the sleuths intercepted him on the Nabarangpur-Majhiguda bypass road while he was returning home and seized Rs 2.2 lakh ‘ill-gotten’ cash from his possession.
Raids are being conducted at:
1. His rented residential house at Dream Colony No.1, Majhiguda, Nabarangpur
2. His double storied residence at Bijipur, Tamando, Bhubaneswar
3. His house at Singhari Bagicha, Kumutipatna of Balukhand, Puri.
According to Vigilance sources, Rs 1 lakh was recovered at his residential house at Nabarangpur and another Rs 3.5 lakh cash from his Tamando residence during the raid. He owns 9 plots at prime locations in Bhubaneswar, Khurda and Puri.
Searches are continuing.
