Bhubaneswar: A youth allegedly raped a nine-year-old girl in a village under Balipatna police limits, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar, on Friday. The minor girl is undergoing treatment at Capital Hospital.
yle=”text-transform: initial;”>According to sources, the girl was alone at her home when the youth forcibly picked up her and allegedly raped her.
She later said informed her family members, following which a complaint was lodged at the police station. The girl was then admitted to a hospital in Balipatna and then shifted to Capital Hospital in a critical condition
Based on the complaint, police launched a manhunt and nabbed the accused, a distant relative, from his hideout in Bhubaneswar.
The accused person is a labourer, the sources added.
