Bhubaneswar: A 92-year-old woman, diagnosed with COVID-19, walked out of SUM COVID Hospital with a smile having been cured of the deadly infection on Monday.
Sarojini Patnaik, a resident of Baramunda area of the city, had tested positive for the virus after showing symptoms of fever and cough.
Her family members got her admitted to SUM Covid Hospital immediately.
The main cause of concern was that she was diabetic, but the medical team started her treatment to ensure her recovery.
Family members of the nonagenarian were overjoyed when she was discharged from the hospital on Monday. “The excellent treatment provided by the medical team ensured her recovery,” Siddharth Patnaik, grandson of the patient, said.
