A Dish Named ‘Amitabh Bachchan’ & How Agastya Had It For Free

Mumbai: There is a restaurant in New York that serves a dish named ‘Amitabh Bachchan’.

None other than Big B himself revealed this during a chat with Kartik Aaryan and Vidya Balan on his reality show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 16’.

In the special episode ‘Sawalon ki Bhool Bhulaiya’, Amitabh shared how his grandson Agastya, while dining at an Indian restaurant in New York, came across a dish named ‘Amitabh Bachchan’ and used the Bollywood superstar’s name to have free meals there!

After relishing the dish, Agastya showed a photo of Big B to the restaurant staff and told them that the actor was his grandfather.

The staff was so overwhelmed that they served Agastya free meals for two years.

Agasty, whoa made his acting debut with Zoya Akhtar’s ‘The Archies’ last year, will next be seen in Sriram Raghavan’s ‘Ikkis’.

On the special KBC episode, Amitabh asks Kartik and Vidya about their favourite food.

“Dahi chawal (curd rice). Whenever I crave comfort, I have dahi chawal,” said Vidya.

“I grew up in Chembur, where there used to be a vada pav stall near the post office. Sir, I’m salivating just thinking about it!” the actress added.

Kartik said he also loves street food and often visits a Chinese stall in Juhu, near Big B’s Jalsa.

The actor further shared that as he visits that place often, the staff has named a dish after him, “The Kartik Special.”

To this, Big B said, “There’s something special about eating on the roadside, and this place is near my house. I’ll visit it to try the ‘Kartik Special’.”

This special KBC episode with the ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ stars will be aired on Friday at 9 pm on Sony Entertainment Television.

‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ is slated to hit the theatres on November 1.
