New Delhi: Some of Rajkummar Rao’s fans here were in for a surprise on Thursday. Having queued up to purchase tickets for his new film ‘Roohi’, they came across the star himself selling tickets at the counter of a multiplex.
‘Roohi’, the first big film to be released in theatres after they were allowed to operate at 100% occupancy last month, also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma in key roles.
Directed by Hardik Mehta, it’s a horror-comedy in which Rajkummar plays the role of Bhawra Pandey.
“A film like Roohi is meant to be watched with the audience because you want to laugh and feel scared with everyone around. I think it will be a very unique and fun experience for people to watch it in theatres,” Rajkummar told Hindustan Times in a recent interview.
Among the most-awaited films of The White Tiger and Chhalaang star is Badhaai Do, a sequel to the National Award-winning film Badhaai Ho.
