Mumbai: Remember the talented little 9-year-old boy from ‘Taare Zameen Par’? The one with a learning disorder who had problems regarding speech sounds and how they relate to letters and words.
Fed up with his poor academic performance, his parents send him to a boarding school, where an arts teacher – portrayed by Aamir Khan – recognises that the boy has dyslexia and helps him explore his true potential.
Over 16 years after ‘Taare Zameen Par’ touched the hearts of millions, Aamir is set to reunite with the now grown-up Darsheel Safary, who had played Ishaan, for another project.
Darsheel took to Instagram on Monday to drop a teaser with two images of him and Aamir captioned ‘then vs now’.
The first picture is a still from the much-loved hit film ‘Taare Zameen Par’, while the second shows the soon-to-be 27 Darsheel posing with Aamir.
“BOOOMMMMM. 16 years later, and we’re together again. Emotional? Yeah, a little. Charged? ABSOLUTELY. All the love to my favourite mentor for the experience.. Watch this space for the Big reveal. 4 Days to go!!!” Darsheel wrote.
The post on social media went viral and triggered speculation on whether Darsheel is working with Aamir for ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’, a sequel to ‘Taare Zameen Par’.
Aamir recently shared updates about his new film ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’.
“My next film as a lead actor is ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’. We are trying to release it by the end of this year, on the occasion of Christmas. It is an entertaining film, I like the story. The shooting of the film has begun,” Aamir had said.
However, some users were of the opinion that the duo was collaborating for an advertisement.
The suspense will be cleared after four days, as Darsheel said.
